Tips for Self-Tanning all year round

Most of beach goers really exposed their body to have a perfect golden tan. But some didnt get what they expected. Here are some tips to have that perfect tan all year round. Just make sure you have good quality of product tanning available from the market.

1. If it is your first time to have that fake tan, consider testing the product on a hidden spot to test the color and shade, and to make sure you don't have an allergic reaction.

2. Use exfoliating cream and use it gently days before applying any self tanner.

3. Apply rich moisturizer days before you apply the the tanner application.

4. Wash your hands every five minutes or so when applying any tanner (and don't forget in between the fingers and your fingernails). Alternatively, buy some inexpensive plastic gloves to wear.

5. Go easy when spreading it around your knees, ankles and feet and elbows, as the thicker skin there tends to soak up more of the color. You can apply a light layer of lotion to these areas to help dilute the product.

6. Dont forget to wipe down yourr underarms and belly button after tanner application to keep them looking realistically bronzed.

7. Your tanner might look streaky as it dries. Don't panic until you've given it about three hours to dry and time for the color to develop completely.

8. Some self-tanners will stain clothing, towels and other surfaces. Read the bottle before using and take any necessary precautions.

9. Are you not satisfied with your first experiment..then try it again. Experiment with different brands, formulas and types of application to determine the perfect shade for your skin. You can also try different products on different body parts.

10. Always remember to use a good sunscreen every day, and reapply tanner as needed at nighttime.

January 1, 2008 119th Rose Parade

The 2008 Rose Parade trotted out Tuesday for its 119th New Year's Day incarnation. Tens of thousands of people including me and my husband lined the streets of Pasadena and millions more watched on television from around the world.

It was my first time to watched the Rose Parade so I was excited on our way to Pasadena which is less than an hour travel from our place. We woke up around 5am and left the house around 6:30AM. When we arrived,thousands of people were already there, some arrived noontime on Dec 31 and camped overnight. They were already lined up on the street with their blankets, heater, foods, pillow, cushions and chairs. You can also buy your tickets if you want to seat on the grandstands. There were some groups that were handling free snacks to the spectators. Some were selling seat cushions and Rose Parade Programs.

We just arrived on time and were able to find a good spot which just infront of one of the grandstands. The police cleared up the street first before they start the parade then next the Marching bands that came from Japan, El Salvador who travelled 5 days by bus, Switzerland, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Floats soared and spun with Chinese dragons, Bengai tigers, Space aliens, Egyptian kings and queens, Beijing floats that the float that I like the most was the Honda's car that transformed into a spaceship.
